Widely recognized for his strength in client advocacy and stakeholder engagement, Kevin brings a practical, execution-focused approach to leadership. He is adept at aligning technical teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders around shared objectives, driving measurable outcomes through governance, accountability, and innovation.

A visionary entrepreneur, Kevin has spent more than three decades leading ORION Cybernetics, a boutique management consulting firm specializing in strategic planning, program oversight, governance, and client representation. Since founding the firm in 1994, he has been deeply engaged in advising clients across diverse technology and facilities environments—helping them navigate complexity, mitigate risk, and achieve successful outcomes in mission-critical initiatives.

John Dean MBA, CMA

John Dean is a seasoned growth strategist with a strong record of driving dramatic expansion in start-ups and emerging companies. He is widely recognized for dynamic leadership and a history of successful domestic and international market development, helping organizations scale effectively while strengthening their competitive position.

A highly effective communicator and relationship-builder, John delivers results through skillful negotiation at all levels. His ability to align stakeholders, articulate value propositions, and build durable partnerships has been instrumental in advancing commercial objectives across diverse industries and markets.

John’s core strengths lie in strategic planning with particular emphasis on sales, marketing, business development, customer service, and technology-enabled growth. He also brings deep experience in fundraising and investment, supporting organizations through critical growth phases and capital-raising initiatives.

John holds a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Barry O'Brien MSM

Engineering, Operations & Asset Management Leader

Barry O’Brien brings more than three decades of experience spanning management, plant operations, commissioning and start-up, maintenance, training, power engineering, and technical project delivery. His career reflects deep, hands-on expertise combined with senior-level leadership across complex industrial and energy environments.

Barry is widely regarded as a disciplined and highly effective manager with a proven ability to lead teams skillfully, inspire loyalty, enhance initiative, and minimize staff turnover and labor challenges. His leadership approach emphasizes accountability, operational rigor, and continuous improvement, resulting in durable teams and consistently strong performance.

He is well versed in Operations and Maintenance Agreements, Long-Term Service Agreements, Power Purchase Agreements, and regulatory compliance, having co-authored agreements in principle for multiple projects. Barry has also overseen full facility accounting functions, including budget preparation and routine and extraordinary administrative responsibilities, ensuring strong financial stewardship alongside operational excellence.

Throughout his career, Barry has helped establish auditing frameworks and best-practice standards that have been adopted across multiple organizations. His progression from hands-on technical roles to senior management positions reflects both breadth of expertise and sustained leadership impact. His technical background includes experience with coal, oil, biomass, diesel, and gas turbine-based facilities.

Barry has been described as the “Consummate Manager” by a Fortune 500 CEO. He holds a Master of Science in Management (MSM) from Baker University.
